The series itself launched after we had built up our audience for a few months, and episodes had threads which folded into real life events.

The series was based on one of the most highly regarded ARG’s —The Jejune Institute. (Which changed a lot of my friends lives I’ve known over the years)

And basically everything was made of airplane parts we salvaged out of the aircraft boneyard in Roswell NM.
Even the massive MRI (an engine cowl off of a commercial airliner)

Making our budget go a loooooong way with a little creativity and a “world legos” mindset.

A few from the interior cabin livestreams, where we shot plates with our pace truck and stood up a whole green shoot. (Which has some serious Alfred Hitchcock rear projection vibes)

There was so much work buried in this one project. This is the true medium for ADHD creatives. :)

The New Noology Network livestreams were peak adrenaline cinematic live-streaming.

The energy was so intense. 10k people at any given time voting/interacting ( ‘shocking’ our dream lab subjects 🧫 )

Then a few days later revealing to them all our dream set was nothing more than a live composite…🫶

The audience was insane!( in the best way)

Especially when they started to create their own fan fiction and memes.

At one point I was dox’d and we had to incorporate another ‘Brian’ into the story, played by our amazing production designer! (Jeff Gibson) and he became a superstar ✨😌

We aired a few specific chapters each with their own story beats,

1. Dream Lab

2. Holovan Sightings

3. A mind control video game launch on twitch.

4. Finale livestream reveal of our holographic actor (the audience got to talk to her via chat on twitch)

And we got to seed the “holovan” (a vintage 508d Mercedes Van we transformed into fully functional “fictional vehicle”, which contained a hologram character” based off an actress in the show.

The production lasted so long we ended up building it into my actual art studio and using it as a live-in stage.

The best part was that I got to hire all my friends to help build it. People who all got to apply their unique skills to tell a cinematic story that intersected real life and “our time”

Annual reminder to self that this project existed, and had 500k people following our livestream-based ARG —intersecting episodes of a cable television series, w/ realtime VFX, live actors, a road-streaming stunt vehicles, and paid actors all across the country, to tell a 6 month sci-fi story IRL.

One of the most mesmerizing site specific sonic collaborations with nature.

I love this Sea Organ 🌊

Fun Fact: The source of inspiration for the rotation and physics was based on the way kugel ball fountains spin on a thin layer of water. I used to love spinning these as a kid.

Ed Purver, the overall CD and much of our art team all had a hand in this classic which plays every night.

This moment was the culmination of 5 years of a massive team effort @ Sphere, and 6 months of my own medaling as the realtime Creative Director for the exterior (Exo) screen —playing a small part in bringing it to life.

We simulated this moon and timed the spin on a physical model + UE5.

Old memories from around the time the first permanent Meow Wolf launched in Santa Fe 2016.

I’m deeply craving building something digi-tactile again. 🤌

Sometimes you gotta pinch yourself to remember what’s real lately.
