I have nothing to say on matters of taste except non est disputandum. but there’s a type of pickiness about writing that the reviewer has covered and accurately indicated to other picky readers that this book will probably not be to their liking. that’s what I meant by accurate

Glen Cook? the reviewer is a bit over the top but they’re giving a reasonably accurate impression

there’s a video in the article lined to from the first reply

are you studying at uni? Apple education prices are about 10% cheaper, one hoop to jump through to prove it to them

I do all that + a few hundred tabs on a second-hand M1 Air with 8GB RAM and frankly can't really see much of a difference in performance compared to the M4 Pro I use at work

pretty much. you can get the components a bit cheaper via Aliexpress. there are pre assembled versions called macropads that skip the hassle of sourcing the right parts

it’s a little bit of effort, diy/kit levels, but probably a BM16S board + case & some switches & keycaps. they run QMK firmware with is very easy to customise

it was pitched two tones down in this performance. I hear a lot of extra breath noises and light clipping from plosives, so if it was a pre-recorded track then the techs did a wonderful job of making it sound live

I’d stick with reusing the Union Jack. There’s also a political message behind using the Republic of Ireland flag for Northern Ireland, so I’d avoid it
November 27, 2025 at 9:08 PM
Northern Ireland currently doesn’t have its own official flag, using the Ulster Banner has a strong political message that you probably don’t intend

I think goofball/selfish idiot perfectly describes the intro monologues he did for Todd McFarlane's Spawn: The Animated Series (by Todd McFarlane) show
