I'm a big fan of sci-fi, fantasy and historical wargaming, tabletop gaming and RPGs! Also really enjoy books, novels, comics, television shows and movies based on the hobby.
A really great subject. I'm a big fan of a well placed hill (and forest!) for both the aesthetics and adding to the strategic complexity. It would be nice if there was some coordination between the bigger battlemat and terrain producers to make some products that complement each other.

These look great Lee - really enjoy seeing your work on this project. I would like to tackle my own Russian themed project at some point, the White Army of the Russian Civil War, WW2 Soviets or maybe even WW2 Soviet Navy for Cruel Seas, but i already have enough lined up for the next 12 months!

One of the better covers I have seen in a while - great stuff.

mag and White Dwarf still lures me in every month - as for WI and MW it's just a copy here and there to show my support.

I do appreciate the round up of upcoming releases though, as this hobby grows and grows it can be tricky keeping up with so many manufacturers and ranges.

I find the curated approach of a magazine means i can still be plenty inspired without being overwhelmed like i am online but it is hard to find time to sit down and read them all for sure - especially when that time could be used for painting etc. I have stuck with WSS as it really is a great

Hi Lee - really enjoying the channel!

I thought your video on wargaming magazines was excellent and would be interested to know whether your opinions on them have changed at all in the years since you last covered it. Similar to dedicated blogs it seems they are facing many challanges...

Absolutely - you so much as breathe a word of criticism towards an indie studio these days and they descend on you. A bad game is a bad game regardless of whether it came out of a mega corp or three guys in a converted barn somewhere in New Hampshire.

I feel this as well and not even sure where to go with it! I'm no novelist but i feel like i have stories to tell, no writer but i could maybe put together some interesting articles for a magazine or fanzine. I would like to enjoy writing for the sake of it but it feels empty without an audience.
