FDR was far from perfect - but this Second Bill of Rights is the America I want. "Every American is entitled to..."
80 years and we're not there yet. FDR's vision for the U.S. was never realized, though we did get a few steps down the path.

Nothing in FDR's dream forbids wealth; it just means you can't grind everyone into the mud to get it.

I have never served in the military (knew even as a child that underlying health conditions wouldn't permit it). I have never held a civil service position. But I am a Citizen - for me, that is 'office' enough.

This oath applies to me, too, and I hereby swear it.

Never forget those who failed to uphold their own oaths 5 years ago today. And remember always those who died while holding true to their oaths.

That Trump pardoned the J6 insurrectionists is a disgrace and morally abhorrent.

Never forget this: The forces undermining our democracy, rigging our economy, polluting our planet, and stoking hatred are counting on you to give up. Cynicism is how they win. We must keep fighting in 2026 and beyond.

Following a white man to war because you disliked the sound of a black woman laughing will go down in American history as one of the dumbest acts of self-sabotage ever.

1/ It's certainly not a better year, yet. Any Constitutional lawyers out there, explain how U.S. strikes on Venezuela can possibly be legal, because I'm not seeing it.

I follow this oath as a focus in everything I do to try and make next year better than this one has been.

The Constitution never intended the President to be a King by another name, and the more that SCOTUS allows him to do, the further they stray from it.
