It was totally worth it. One of the authors invited me to a monthly writing group, and I managed to get into the local writers' Facebook group too.

I think the most interesting pitch was the one where the books started off inspired by a song based on a lesser known story of European folklore.

It really is! Its probably up there with one of my favourite books of all time.

Even managed to talk with library staff, so hopefully I can be involved next year and with future writing/author events. That'd be fun!

And I finally learned the time and date of the writing group that meets there monthly!!
