(he/him 🏳️‍⚧️ ) Hi! I’m a 30+ writer of adult Queer romance (you might know me as one half of the Iris Foxglove duo) and a fiend for folklore. My books are usually nsfw 🔞 My new M/M romance is coming out in early 2026!
I had all these plans to write before work and during lunch, and then I burned my fingers (I am typing this with my thumbs and a pinky). Just realized that I need to somehow shave before work if I don’t want to out myself to 30+ people who might not be all that uh… positive about it.

If I come out to someone and they look pained and say, “I’m so sorry,” or start talking sadly about the state of politics, they owe me $100 on the spot. I know things are scary, but I like being Queer! No one has to act like Sarah MacLachlan is singing mournfully in the background!

WIP in editing process: So many blacksmithing videos for just a few lines of narration.
New WIP: Enough about poison that I’m glad to rely on physical books for this research instead of internet search engines

I’ve been looking for a second job for a while, and every now and then I get an email from a job site that’s like, “extremely stressful job, longest hours on earth, needs at least a PHD, $10 an hour”

When I was a kid, I was told that I couldn’t have an opinion on an author unless I’d read everything they’d ever written (I’d just given a scathing book report on A Horse and His Boy). So I read the complete works of several authors. Now I just have all that knowledge rattling around in my head.

When I transitioned, I didn’t think that my personal style would careen through the inevitable early awkwardness and crash-land into Beach Dad Mode, but here I am

- comb through Goblin Heart one more time before I leave it in my editor’s hands
- write a side story with the characters from book two so I can pin their voices down

Sometimes you just need to DNF something, and that’s all right. I just had to set down a game I was given because while I’m sure it gets better and tons of people love it, the beginning is so relentlessly grim that it resonates with my particular brand of depression in a bad way.

Coming from the US here: Even if we feel like things are hopeless, it’s important to act as though change CAN happen. Make it a habit, whether it’s protesting, calling representatives, emailing, sending actual letters, going to town halls, anything.

Sometimes marriage is recasting the entire LOTR movies with muppets and having a thirty-minute debate over who Miss Piggy would play.

The danger of loving this absolutely unhinged trans side character is that every time he shows up, he threatens to steal the scene. Also yes, he IS the MC of the next book.

Revising dramatic scenes on break at work is like:

The vibes of the scene in question: High tension, terror, bone-deep dread

Sound system upstairs: HEAR THOSE SLEIGH BELLS JINGLING RING TING TINGALING TOO (DING DING DING A LING DING DING A LING)

The closest I ever came to being fired was when I worked for an Internet company and had to quit fast after offering a (legit) low-income plan to an elderly woman who lived on social security. My boss told me to match her social security check and I refused.

That company was just sold for parts.
