Fishhook theory is way more accurate, but it makes people uncomfortable to acknowledge that “normal” center-right people support almost identical policies as the far right, they’re just less rabidly bigoted in their narratives.

It’s wild that we use dangerous pollutants to shave a minuscule amount of cost instead of using more sustainable materials.
Same thing with global shipping, we ship materials halfway around the world to export cheap labor and then thousands of miles again, just because it’s $.03/$1.00 cheaper.
