What is he pointing at?

Trying to live by simple words. Empathy. Kindness. Respect.
Doesn’t google still do this from YouTube in iOS? There are plenty of distractions from consequences these days.

That for sure would be a night in the hospital for me. But worth it?

My partner has been trying to suss out allergies for years. Dust mites are a very real combatant, and we are just now learning of secondary foods that are exposed to ragweed during pollination making just about any raw food suspect. Good luck with your journey, PITA doesn’t say enough.

I accidentally fixed my problem in a way I do not understand. To summarize:

- replacing drivers, no change
- unloading/reloading kernel driver after a failed experiment with an ASPM flag, problem fixed

WTF!?

True, but my motivation is dwindling, sounds like a weekend project.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ USB ethernet?

Red herring, replacing the cable gives me gigabit full duplex, but does not resolve connection drops/timeout. STALE connections in the ARP table mean connection resets without ICMP updating the ARP table first. I’m guessing this is just a driver/chipset thing.

I take that back, I just looked up the model number and I am running a gigabit switch.. hmm.

Yes. Everything is disabled as far as I can tell. I am behind a 100mb switch which was called out by some posters as a trigger for EEE. This is territory I know next to nothing about though.

Day 2: “read: Connection reset by peer.” Unless of course I ICMP ping it first.. even when dropping down to r8168-dkms.

This saga is getting put on hold and was not a thing I wanted to learn more about.

Dell Wyse 5070 with realtek ethernet. Also updated proxmox sources with deb trixie (9.0.4 proxmox). Problem is connections are reset until an ICMP call like ping “wakes up” the NIC. Or that is my best guess.

Pulling my hair out. Thinking there is a low power NIC problem or driver issue now. These are the reasons I never went full nerd with linux as a daily workstation.

FWIW, I have just endured the experience with Apple and quietly rage inside my own head. Although Tim Cook’s actions lately leave me wondering what will be left if everyone keeps bending the knee.

Okay, like @bleything.net Immediately turned off by a nag warning in the proxmox UI that threatens I don’t have a valid subscription. Very poorly worded. At least it seems like there are decent ways to suppress that.
