An update on the case
Footage of the police apprehending Atilla. Text: The perpetrator of Gym Leader Gordie's stabbing has been announced: Atilla from Melemele Energy has been charged with his attempted murder. It's said that he waited for Gordie in the locker rooms, which he had access to due to being the sponsor of Gym Challenger Barracuda. There he ambushed Gordie in a frenzied attack, and he was stopped by Arowana who arrived at the scene shortly after. His motive is currently unclear, as he chose not to speak to anyone except his lawyer. Galar League representatives are currently discussing the possibility of Gym Challenger Barracuda being disqualified from the Gym Challenge after the actions of his sponsor. We will keep you up to date on the developments.

"Hello everyone, this is Melony. First off, I would like to thank everyone who kept Gordie in their thoughts after this terrible incident. I'm so happy to see the outpouring of support after this terrible incident. I come delivering good news and bad news. The good news is that Gordie's surgery was a success and he's now recovering in the hospital. The bad news is that he will need to rest for at least four weeks until he can return to the gym and partake in the Gym Challenge again. For the time being, I will cover the Circhester Gym, so that the Gym Challenge season can continue. Gordie did not wake up from the anesthesia yet, but I believe once he wakes up he would love to update everyone himself as well. Rest assured that Arowana and I will support him as much as we can. Arowana is currently in the hospital, waiting for Gordie to wake up. Please keep my baby in your thoughts, and let's all hope for his speedy recovery."

BREAKING NEWS FROM CIRCHESTER
Circhester Gym on lockdown after an incident in the locker room. At 9 PM, after the last match for the day, Gym Leader Gordie was attacked in the locker rooms by a perpetrator wielding a knife. Gordie was allegedly stabbed multiple times before his partner Arowana arrived to pull his attacker away from him. The attacker was quickly apprehended by League Staff and Gordie was rushed to the hospital. While Gordie did survive the attack, he was left in critical condition and is said to receive emergency surgery in the hospital. We will keep you updated on the developments of the case.
