But that is exactly the problem with the statement made by lobbyists in the media: the program setup and design responsibilities are more complex, but get shortened and deliberately mixed with production shares (here, Germany builds only centre fuse and FAL for 🇩🇪🇦🇹) to shape opinions in their sense.

Sorry, but this is simply not correct, and this is not how the program setup works. FCS is developed in Manching. Don't take my word for it, but the slides presented by A. Rauen, Eurofighter GmbH CEO (at that time) at the 26th ICAS in 2008.

Engine pillar is co-led by 🇩🇪🇫🇷, remote carriar pillar is led by 🇩🇪, cloud is led by 🇩🇪. So it will lead automatically to an imbalance and new discussions. Plus sensors and extreme low observability are the two 🇪🇸 pillars, but extremely important for the actual fighter. It's a mess.

Spain is really under-represented in all the discussions. So far, Spain has always been a reliable partner in A400M, Eurofighter, Tiger, Eurodrone,... and Germany's and Spain's military aviation industry are massively entangled via Airbus DS. My opinion: the two countries will try to stay aligned.
November 19, 2025 at 8:13 AM
Airbus DS is in charge of the Eurofighter FCS and Dassault leads of course the Rafale FCS. So what makes Dassault a world leader, but not Airbus DS? This claim was put in the media by lobbyists, but there is nothing to substantiate it. 🤷‍♂️

It's only european strategic autonomy if it comes from the Saint Cloud region of France, otherwise it is just multinational collaboration.

His successor is certainly less diplomatic.
While she has a point when looking at the German supplier landscape, I am not so sure that this would be a blocking point if specific systems were bought from third parties without involving them as partners in the project.

Not to forget that France studies also its exit from Eurodrone and well, Dassault is also involved... it is much smaller than FCAS, but it passed CDR and starts with production, meaning that the cost commitment is much higher.

And it looks like straight out of a sci-fi movie 🎬 sth the oppressive police in a cyberpunk story would fly.

Arg, I messed it up, picked the wrong image... that's not a UH-1D rotor head, but an Alouette II rotor head...

What exactly do you want to see?
Eurofighter Inlet?
Bo-105 rotor head?
UH-1D rotor head?
Freakin' VJ-101C?

Recently, I have been 2h in the Flugwerft Schleißheim and made 47 pictures with my camera before my SD card (or more precisely the adapter) broke down... then I used my phone to take 42 pics more 😆
I took 5 pictures of the leading edge installation of a Do-128 alone 🤣
