A news story from Geekwire, a blurb that reads: Gig Harbor-based Heritage Distilling Holding Co. Inc. announced it has raised $223.8 million. Heritage raised the money through a private investment in public equity (PIPE) financing, which is a means for public companies to sell shares to select investors at a discount. According to an Aug. 25 news release, $95 million will be cash and $128.8 million will be in the cryptocurrency token $IP, the native token of the blockchain company Heritage, founded in 2011, makes whiskeys, vodkas, gins, rums and canned cocktails. TLDR: AI-generated news erases women’s achievements.

Recently a woman was appointed as Interim Executive of King County, WA. She is the first woman in that role & local news mentioned it.

I then saw this AI “news” account generated an article…repeatedly calling the exec he/him/his.

I took a vacation and United showed ads for Jira in my entertainment & the airport had ads for Anthropic.
