A plan for 83 one- and two-bed apartments on the western edge of Eynsham, beside the A40, has been put forward. The proposal for Derrymerrye Farm would nestle next to a planned major housing development at West Eynsham.

The public examination into the proposed Botley West Solar Farm has ended after six months. Four planning inspectors have listened to objectors and supporters at hearings in Oxford, considered thousands of pages of written submissions, and visited the site and nearby areas several times.

The district-run public #toilets in #Eynsham car park cost £8.69 per visit and could be closed unless @eynshampcouncil.bsky.social takes them over. They have been valued by cyclists and walkers who use the car park as a starting point, as well as visitors by car:

Could you give a loving home to this ox? Sculptor Michael Black is looking for a community organisation to give it a new home after plans to site an Ox for Oxford at the foot of Headington Hill were shelved due to lack of funds. The ox has been a regular attendee at May mornings since 1980.

Plans for an EV charging station on the A40 at Eynsham have been turned down for the second time by West Oxfordshire District Council planners. They said the development by the main road would “give rise to harm to the character and appearance of the area and setting of Eynsham”.
