Because I think as it is currently, the car scenes carry themselves in a dramatically different way than the other scenes, and causes a sort of disparity as a result

That is, I think it was a good movie and there were elements I really liked, I just think that it needed to either commit to being a strictly artsy film like the car scenes or a more conventional film method of exploring the premise like the farmhouse and high school scenes

I kind of agree but I really do wish that the car scenes were shorter. Specifically the second car scene. I can understand why so much of the story was in the car in book format but I really think that the movie format really required them to explore the idea in different setpieces
