Three hours is about my limit before I get antsy. But to fly coast to coast in the US is longer (6 or 7 hours) and I've done that a few times.

I flew to Indonesia from New York a couple of years ago and it was a looooong flight. Even direct it was 16 hours. But with layovers it was brutal.
