Here's a couple attempts at crafting my dog in #KirbyAirRiders. (With help from my wife)

I would say one of the attempts was a little bit more successful than the other one, but both epitomize her noble spirit.

I can't stop making dang cars in #KirbyAirRiders!

I noticed the wagon looked like a boo so I couldn't help myself. Grab it from the machine market... IF YOU DARE!

Rayforce: I have to figure out how best to experience arcade shmups with infinite continues.

I house ruled 5 lives/stage and it worked well, but stages 6 and 7 were brutal.

There's cool game essence in scoring, but I'd prefer it had more gameplay effects since I'm not a score chaser.

If you watched @seanseanson.bsky.social's wonderful video on Taito you may be looking to buy some of their games which are on sale on the eShop.

Research before you buy! There are bundles that are cheap and incomplete. For Ray you want Ray'z Chronology, for Invaders you want invincible collection.

Sheep Raider: Complex and diegetic puzzles force you to think through solutions like a Looney Tune.

The puzzles are so well made it's a shame the game loves to make you redo them if you make a mistake.

I went slightly insane in some levels, something Daffy promised would happen in the tutorial.

Just released my 1st public mod: Sonic Forever Memix!

I wanted to change the game to fit my tastes, and if other people like it too, great!

Includes edits to most levels, a bunch of new options, and a new character Mumble. He can spin dash in mid-air!

Check it out at: gamebanana.com/mods/633893

Against The Storm: A fun enough RTS that begs to be a forever game.

Completing the upgrade tree and seeing all the game has to offer will take hundreds of hours.

Building a settlement is fun, but there are only so many times I can repeatedly execute its relatively simple algorithm.

Wild Guns Reloaded: I enjoyed this game so much that I accidentally beat it 3 times in a row!

A simple game on the surface hides a ton of complex strategic decision making.

There is even a good boy you can play as, he is cute but one of the bosses is extremely hard when you are a dog.

Chibi-Robo: A janitor works 24/7 for the payment of corporate incentives and the occasional tip. He's abused by his overbearing manager, and is expected to fix every broken person he meets.

He goes through this drudgery for a company that neither knows his name or sees him as a full person.

I decided I would be a water type gym leader for this season of Pokemon Z-A. Unfortunately I couldn't find any flip flops...

I don't have any losses yet, I can see why so many people in universe do it 🏊🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

I shared your posts with a Discord I'm in, and look what happened in our most recent game club vote.

Possibly the most effective marketing for these games in the last 15 years!

I don't like the special stages in Sonic 1, but I do like collecting emeralds! I thought I'd make a mod that lets you skip the special stage but still get the emerald if you hit the giant ring.

This should make my speed runs more interesting since getting Super Sonic may be worth considering.

Tails Adventure: It's fun to see Tails as the protagonist.

Unfortunately, my expectations were too high from the G.G. Shinobi.

The Metroidvania set up is fun, but Tails is slow and all of his attack methods are overly finicky.

It is pretty hard that you can smash in a duck's head with a hammer.

Alan Wake: Nails the Twilight Peaks atmosphere. Unfortunately, gameplay reminds me more of Groundhog Day.

Combat, exploration and environments are all very repetitive. If you've played the beginning you've pretty much seen it all.

This is a vibes game, and it did give me some nice seasonal vibes.

Iridion 3D: An average corridor shooter with some truly awful hitboxes.

However! I like how it handles progression. A password saves your lives and power-up state after you finish levels.

You can use it to slowly build up skill and push towards building the perfect save to get you to the end.

Shiny charm get!

In total it was about 40 seconds per battle, so the whole process took about 5 hours.

This is not even the only macro I had to make for this game. It was kind of fun solving this problem, so I guess thank you Game Freak!

Cardfighter's Clash: Pokémon TCGP but I like the card game better.

Since the TCG is original, they had freedom to build a wide, tiered power disparity between cards.

You often swap cards, and your deck has a steep power curve.

Late enemy decks sit atop the curve, so you better prepare to die.

Legends Z-A: It's imperfect, and trivial to nitpick, but honestly I don't care.

Even with the context of Arceus, they've done something new and fresh. Lumiose is one of my favorite open worlds to chill in.

Keep doing weird stuff Game Freak, set an entire game inside a Wailord's body or something.

Ichidant R: A set of decently fun mini games, that slowly becomes agonizing as eventually it forces you to play them up to 7 times in a row.

No mini game collection could hold up to the repetition, not even with multiplayer. Each time I tried with another human they quickly wanted to switch games.

I'm loving that if someone doesn't know any better they might think that Bunnelby evolves into Lopunny.

I wonder if that's disappointing or exciting?

Final Fight: Is it possible to capture what makes the genre compelling on free play?

The mechanics are cool, but without tension I feel very little.

Maybe the way to go is a full credit per level, reset a level if you game over. I don't think there's a great way to test this unless I make a mod.

Gain Ground: Ancient coop extraction shooter!

Extract little guys to use them in later levels. It becomes coopetitive as you race your friends to steal their corpses and any cool guys.

Bizarrely, none of the levels in World 4 have guys to rescue. Without extraction, the game loses its appeal.

This stupid game is the best!

Loco Motive: A gorgeous game which perfectly replicates the old classics in its genre, and it is not at all for me.

I would have bounced off this game in 5 minutes if Game Club wasn't forcing me to finish it. Game Club is great but it has a dark side.

Crossworlds and MKW have great accessibility settings (Auto Accel, etc) which reduce the pain when playing the games with RSI.

For some reason these settings are disabled in Time Trial.

To help myself in Sonic a friend and I made a hack that supports accessibility settings in Time Trial.
