With a G&T or whisky and soda on the table.

But the question the nation is asking is,
Did you slide down the polls?
(Sorry Zack, had to be done!)

So you're prepared to actually keep us waiting?
(SWIDT?)

Consider the alternative.

Wow! Even as a teenager, that's horrible!

Ah, right, I'd seen something about that. Most people do stupid stuff at Uni. I'm much more bothered by the fact that he never grew out of it!

This was my automatic response - I've no idea what latest piece of devilry this refers to.
(I have his surname muted on all my socials)

Your legs aren't bad though ...

Oops, forgot the shot!
November 24, 2025 at 6:53 PM
You need to go to the "Feeds" button (blue on this shot).
FB defaults to "Home," which is the crap you're seeing.

"Hold my beer, I'm not really going to drink it. "

With that particular firm, the ceremony is "unattended," which means nobody is there. So the relatives have no idea what the ceremony is like. "Their own beautiful crematorium" isn't open to the public either, and serves the whole country!
This advert is very misleading.

I don't do the Grauniad these days. Is Dannat the general chappie? He always seemed pretty decent - what are they supposed to have done?

What an interesting set of questions. For me, they're all (just) the same town - Stockport - but I've not seen the place for nearly 30 years, and I've no-one there now.
So it's very much a place I've "come from," not a place I "belong to."

What is a "green bean casserole" even FOR? Surely not human consumption.

Can we just hold off on the anger, until something is actually announced?

The biggest crimes are committed by the richest people, so the sums don't add up!

To be fair, the fossil fuel lobby HAD spent a lot of money on the conference. It's only fair they should have a return on their investment!

You mean, it's not already a museum?
Who knew?

Everyone should go to Blackpool once.
Any more than that should only be to take someone else (eg kids, for the 'Luminations).
"The man who is tired of Blackpool is ... very wise."

Bloody lefty bishops.
I mean, Jesus? What did HE know?

I used to be a chaplain with the Air Cadets. One year at camp, the guy in charge declared on Day 1 "This will be a No Smoking camp."
Privately, I explained the likely consequences of that policy, a bunch of addicted teenagers going cold turkey!
Next day, he announced a designated smoking area. Phew!
