China’s way ahead on pretty much all technology that’s powered by the sun, they’re also in their Breakable Car Gimmick phase which is pretty funny. But if their battery tech engineers and Toyota’s reliability engineers ever made a car together it would pretty much be game over for the world

you’d think NIMBYs would be thrilled at the idea of testing out the hypothesis

We’re already restricting building and it’s not working, so why not just try it? what is so evil?
if the result is either “a bunch more people have places to live” or “nothing gets better and some people I don’t like get richer,” that’s a very easy risk/reward decision?? we should obviously try it
