but the art already exists and as far as I can tell the new horses all have some semblance of concept art as well (I mean someone's gotta draw them before you model them) so I feel like you could have kept the sprites in the game as icons if nothing else

the Commander in Azur Lane is so loosely defined (I don't think he ever has a sprite to determine a gender from) so truly you can just say whatever you want about him/her/them/it, like dying by being crushed underboob by a Dutch Elf Boat Woman, and it may as well be true
