In this week’s episode we talk to Justin Lunny, founder and CEO of EV conversion company Everrati.

They do very high-end reimagining of classic cars like the Porsche 911 and Mercedes Pagoda

What does he think about people who believe that’s sacrilege ?

I think the issue isn’t that Thunderbolts* feels like it was scripted by AI. It’s that the other Marvel offerings have set the bar so low that it was felt to be acceptable.

Compare that with Andor…

What are your thoughts on canopies at public rapid chargers?
April 4, 2025 at 6:09 AM
I spoke with Vicky Edmonds from @evaengland.bsky.social for the podcast this week. I asked her what an acceptable price differential should be between home and public charging (as we’re never going to get price parity) .

Here’s what she said.

Did you know the Polestar cars have 2 different range values?

Here’s the difference:

Tried a Tesla V4 Supercharger in the Polestar 2 last night

Not a bad charge speed.

I don’t think the 400v/800v issue applies here. The actual unit itself is capped at 80kW. Even an 800v car wouldn’t get more than that

This is pure misadvertising.

This why people lose faith with public charging: The sticker on the charger clearly says ‘up to 150kW’ but the screen also says ‘Charger max ⚡️’ while pulling 83kW. The CPO app also says 80kW max

So which is it?

I got 151kW when I plugged into a 200kW PoGo unit recently. Didn’t stay there too long (about 5 minutes) before dropping back to 117kW

I’m putting together a podcast episode for next season that talks about all the factors that go into determining charge speed.

Plugged the @polestarcars.bsky.social Polestar 2 into an @ospreycharging.bsky.social 75kW unit.

Went pretty much straight to 75kW and stayed there.

First charge in the Polestar 2 at a Pogo charger. Went straight up to 150kW at plug in. Left about 15 minutes later when it was still pulling 100kW

In the final extract from this week’s show I look back at how misinformation has changed over time, in both content, nature and impact.

Anyone else seeing this ‘interesting Tesla public pricing in Portsmouth?

Or is my app glitching?
December 10, 2024 at 8:52 AM
I’ll be generous and say one of these was an autocorrect issue that wasn’t picked up.

But the other one is definitely an education issue.

‘Of’ = ‘From’. If you can’t replace ‘of’ with ‘from’ in the sentence, you’re using the wrong word.

So it looks like Tesla has quietly opened up around half of its Supercharger network to the public.

I’m curious what the best way is to get energy from technical experts.

Do you grind them up, make them into pellets then burn them? Or is it a chemical reaction that creates heat?
