Day 25 - the final day of the Pact Coffee advent calendar! It’s La Manzana, which is meant to taste like chocolate orange. In reality, it smells like chocolate but tastes overwhelmingly of orange. Very nice though. Merry Christmas!

Day 24 of the Pact Coffee advent calendar is Kibirizi. The flavour note is ‘stewed plum’ - they put one in the advent calendar a year or two ago that was straight plum and that was really nice. This one is alright but the ‘stewed’ feels like a euphemism for ‘not quite plum’.

Day 23 of the Pact Coffee advent calendar is Buenos Aires Cenicafe 1, a climate change resistant coffee. The card says ‘chocolate flapjack’ - I got an initial chocolate note but then it was extremely salty after that. Not my fave - unless user error was involved.

Day 22 was Muthwewathi. The label says blackcurrant and dark brown sugar. This was only yesterday but I have no recollection of it at all. Too many fruit with brown sugar coffees for it to stand out?

Day 21 was San Carlos. The label says ‘raisin and hazelnut’ but there was also a bit of a chocolatey note so it was almost like a fruit ‘n’ nut bar in coffee form.

Day 20 was Samuel’s Coffee. The card said ‘lychee and raspberry’ - but I’m not 100% sure what lychee is supposed to taste like!

Day 19 was Sitio de Jaja. This one necessitated an emergency conversion to latte. The card said it worked well with milk, which I ignored, but then it was bland as black coffee so I added milk. But then it was still bland as a latte. Not my fave.

Day 18 was Fugi. The label promised blackcurrant and again the coffee delivered but with a brown sugar note in the background.

Day 17 was El Roblon. The card promised orange and the coffee delivered - this was really orangey with a brown sugar note (my slurping spoon seemed to add a brown sugar note to a lot of the fruity coffees).

Fell behind with coffee posting due to Christmas preparations, let’s catch up. Day 16 was Finca Monterrey - the card said ‘chocolate and spice’ and I was sceptical about the spice but it did actually have a heat-less kind of spice note.

My @alltheanime.bsky.social sale haul arrived. IIRC most of these were final warehouse clearance - getting the limited Persona 3 movies new and discounted feels like a miracle.
