A poster reading: Does your work impact your health? We invite you to take part in a groundbreaking study exploring the effects of work on women's chronic health. Eligibility: Women aged 30-40 Living and working in London Works from an office/desk Either formally or self-diagnosed with a functional somatic disorder Participation involves: A 2 hour in-person interview (April-June 2025) A short drawing activity Interviews will be anonymised For the purposes of this study functional somatic disorders include: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) Fibromyalgia Tension headaches/TMJ Functional Neurological disorder (FND) Hyperventilation/ breathing dyspnea Chronic dizziness and/or chest pains Multisensory sensitivity disorder This study does not cover: Neurodivergence (ADHD/ autism etc) Long-covid or covid related illnesses Endometriosis Mental health conditions (although these may be present as comorbidities) Pregnancy or gynaecological issues Disorders of the organs or bones Cancers Contact Rosie Mathers, PhD Researcher at UCL: rosie.mathers.16@ucl.ac.uk
