• Access between Lower Mainland and Interior closed
• Nooksack River topped its banks around 2pm, water going across border to Sumas prairie
• Rainfall in Fraser Valley now easing up
• Nooksack flows expected to peak ~10pm, hold til 4-6am, then decline

As well as removing a leading cause of TFA pollution, @projectdrawdown.bsky.social advises a move away from using F-gases in refrigeration + air conditioning could put a huge dent in greenhouse gas emissions:

Unfortunately not enough American voters cared enough to prevent him from being elected, even after Jan 6, even after all the horrible things he did before and after he was elected the first time. Not enough of you acted to prevent the terror now inflicted not just on US residents, but the world.

8. Farming has to be profitable - or farmers won’t do it - and productive, or there won’t be enough for 8, 9 or 10 billion people to eat. But we also need to see much lower impacts on the living world, as food production is the #1 driver of most causes of environmental destruction.
