Securing a rental in Aus is fiercely competitive and & finding one that's affordable is even harder. Many people need to earn six figures to comfortably afford rent.

The govt must build more social housing. These are low-cost rentals that many Australians need and can afford.

Frontline staff are burnt out & turning more people away as demand rises.
They’re calling on the federal government to:
🏠Build social housing
💸End investor tax handouts
📈Raise income support
🔒Strengthen renter protections

Frontline services responding to Australia’s housing crisis are at breaking point.

Our 'No Way Out' survey shows rising demand, growing complexity, staff burnout and people being turned away daily.

We need major investment in social housing, now.

For too long, tax breaks like the CGT discount and negative gearing have fuelled speculation, pushed up house prices and cost taxpayers billions, while everyday Aussies struggle to find a home they can afford.

Small tweaks won’t cut it. Housing reform must match the scale of the crisis.

$12.3 billion - what the government gave property investors in tax breaks last year - more than social homes, homelessness, and rent support combined.

While Australians struggle to find a home, investors keep getting richer.

We must end property investor handouts.

As Everybody’s Home spokesperson Maiy Azize writes in The Point, ending these unfair tax breaks would help level the playing field, take heat out of the housing market, and free up public money for homes people actually live in.

It’s a win either way.

End the Airbnb tax breaks. It's a win either way
Our tax system should serve the public, not subsidise speculation. Reforming investor tax breaks would be fair, responsible, and is long overdue.
