I would check the publisher's editorial policies and flag this with the handling editor and editor in chief. Often academic editors' involvement with a paper stops at the acceptance stage, and they don't see the paper again until it's published.

Today, I'm excited to announce the publication of the Duplodnaviria realm Profile and Chapter.
The realm includes viruses of archaea, bacteria and eukaryotes and is best known for its inclusion of herpesviruses and tailed phages.
