the study of the corridor that PBOT got federal grant money for back in 2023 was supposed to get results out this year. I don’t know who to bother to get more info on that lol

The argument is usually that the state already has a rainy day fund and the kicker incentivizes better budgeting, not that the latter is really true.

Early results are more conservative in Seattle and the more progressive last-minute dropoffs take longer to count. There’s >100k ballots left to count in the race since so many people waited until the last minute.

The one district outside of San Antonio might (it was Trump+10 in ‘24 and narrow in 2020) but the other ones are pretty durable. They might not pick up every seat they drew for themselves but they’re not going to lose more than they had in the first place.

This is the only district-specific claim they make — and the assertion that the lines are race- rather than partisan-based doesn’t hold water since Ceres is bluer than northern Modesto
