For variety, the Generals sometimes played under different names: "Boston Shamrocks," "New Jersey Reds," "Baltimore Rockets," and "Atlantic City Seagulls." From 1995 to 2007 they played as the New York Nationals.

To be fair, that team was the Harlem Globetrotters, and the Generals were supposed to lose. Their role was to be the straight men (straight team?) to the Globetrotters' comedic trick plays. They did win a few games – between 3 and 6 per various sources.

Chunks of the buildup can be cut and polished, revealing random patterns of bright colors resembling a sort of psychedelic agate.

Although they can grow to cover several square meters, these slime molds start out as hundreds, or even thousands, of individual cells. As they join together, the interior cell walls break down, resulting in a single "cell" with thousands of nuclei.

The iron stove system was first used for the election of Pope Pius XII in 1939. It has been used seven times since.

Two cast iron stoves are also installed temporarily inside the chapel. One is used to burn the ballots and the other burns a mix of chemicals to produce the white or black smoke. The two flues connect so that the smoke exits through the single chimney.

The first verse went: "Scrambled eggs / Oh my baby how I love your legs / Not as much as I love scrambled eggs." (In Barry Miles' biography, McCartney said there were no lyrics beyond that because no one could get past that line without cracking up.)

McCartney always said that the complete melody came to him in a dream but there were no lyrics. While working on the melody, McCartney came up with a temporary title and lyrics: "Scrambled Eggs."
