i’ve always thought the original of this comic was about climate change but it’s original alt text (back when internet comics used that for extra punchlines and not accessibility) was ‘the pills are working’

there’s no difference in cost to the taxpayer, it’s completely arbitrary to decide some makes and models are ‘luxury’ and that therefore disabled people don’t deserve them

it appears to be purely opportunitist, the SWP are more supportive of Zarah Sultana's vision for the party than Jeremy Corbyn's, hence why SWP members have only been expelled just ahead of the conference starting, once it was clear what way they would collectively vote

Also that Alba were allowed to call themselves just the gaelic word for Scotland despite nearly every major party in Scotland being called '[Party Name] na h-Alba' in gaelic

i don't think anyone thinks For The Many is a good name, so hopefully discarding that one goes without saying

despite my usual extremely favourable stance on changing pronouns, you simply cannot switch from Your Party to Our Party

it’s more the ‘deciding on the eve of conference when dozens of them have been invited’ thing thats questionable (though it being the SWP does make it funny more than anything else)

basically to sign up you had to state you weren't already a member of another party, so although the party hasn't codified its rules as such, that was a clear(ish) line from the off

seems to be some disagreement as to if it's just the SWP or members or some other related but distinct orgs

apparently between 100-200 people, and they've invited 2000 total I think

they selected 2000 people to attend their conference, realised that somewhere between 100-200 of them were from the SWP and so quickly moved to expel those people *on the eve of the conference*
