Les Français font des phrases trop longues, les Allemands ont des mots trop longs, c’est pour cela que les Anglais ont imposé leur langue. Die Franzosen machen zu lange Sätze, die Deutschen haben zu lange Wörter, im Grunde ist das der Grund, warum die Engländer ihre Sprache durchgesetzt haben.

I will not leave X because it’s important that the voice of academics be heard by a larger audience, and to avoid the ‘echo chamber effect / syndrom’. However, I miss some of the respected great minds leaving X and will come here to follow them. Passive here, more (though not much) active there.
