This was such an incredible performance. I’m so excited to have these videos.

Please give where you can.

Good luck today, everyone.

I love these little facts, but I really love that Star Trek mashup.
Mahler's music has been in well over 100 films. There’s a story about a producer who asked if Mahler could write more movie scores…60 years after his death!

If you donate to nonprofits on this Giving Tuesday, please consider supporting Colorado MahlerFest.

“Interesting” is a mild word to use for these times.
"Now... is a time when it will be interesting to see what music has to say, not only about our world today, but about our world tomorrow."

MahlerFest 38 is just 13 days away!

But it’s not market manipulation. Nothing to see here.
Biggest insider trading market manipulation scheme in history.

They aren't even bothering to hide it.

My wife released the first video on her new YouTube channel - Of Course You Feel That way.

She's been working on this for a while but I think @booker.senate.gov inspired her to get it done!
Check it out.

A great introduction even if I prefer the full, unedited version.
Here is Kenneth Woods introducing this season's theme.

MahlerFest 38 - May 14-18, 2025 - "Defiance, Resistance, Protest, & Remembrance" as an extension of how Ken interprets Mahler 6.

The U.S. is no longer on the side of the good guys.
This is so fucking tragic. Today Europe is completely united behind Ukraine and the cause of freedom.

Meanwhile the United States is sitting this one out along with Russia and Iran. Make it make sense.

If you’re not outraged at this I have nothing to say to you.
During a GOP town hall at Coeur d'Alene High School, Teresa Borrenpohl called out, “Is this a lecture or a town hall?” Witnesses said three unidentified men, who were not wearing badges or ID, then physically removed from her seat by order of the Idaho county sheriff.

This.
As a journalist who covers extremism at the local level, I think it’s a mistake to view Trump’s Napoleonic statement as solely about presidential power. Consider if it’s interpreted as a wink and a nod for any extremist to act outside the law to “save” the country as they see fit

With Elon and his henchmen stealing our personal information, it seemed like a good time to freeze my credit. I was able to do all three agencies in less than ten minutes while sitting at a brewery.

In case anyone is buying the BS from MAGA.

Also, let’s be clear. It’s the same dry winds out of the mountains driving this fire that drove the Marshall Fire (CO) and the Lahaina fire. No budget will change that.
Mayor Bass did cut the fire budget for LA by $17m (not $23m as claimed on social media) out of $820m. That still budgeted hiring firefighters and emergency paramedics. This cut likely has little impact on the ability to fight current fires nor would it have prevented the current fires.

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

Seeing this is such a joy. It takes so much effort by so many people to make this happen. I couldn’t be more proud of the role I play and so very much appreciation everyone who is a part of this, board, musicians, audience, and of course our donors who make it all possible.
Today's the day! What day? It's Colorado Gives Day AND the day we share our full performance of Mahler 4 from last May!
