Today's thinking walk led to me creating a CPU attribute that "fuck it we ball" that controls how aggressively they'll use attackers and how high their danger level needs to be before blocking.
A 1 blocks often and a 10 only when almost dead.
If it's set to zero, they just gamble playing the odds.

But if your code is bad, you're massively shrinking your target audience because your game is only going to run on good computers.
My computer already can't run a lot of indie games because they're so poorly optimized.

My game doesn't currently have any creatures made up by me, but if it did I would just use all the made up words I say to my cat as names.

I know it's way faster to get up and running with a game engine than building one yourself.
But I have to say, I've had very few issues with mysterious or difficult bugs when I've written all the code myself instead of trying to figure out what's wrong with two libraries interacting with each other

But I gotta say, to this day nothing makes me instantly lock in like the set point music for Mario Tennis on the GBC.
Just makes me feel "oh it's ON now". Especially compared to the rest of the really happy music in that game.

'Megabonk' is wirhdrawing from The Game Awards (The Keighleys) because it was nominated under "Debut Indie Game" but the dev says thed made multiple games before under different names.
