No, au contraire. US DoD purchases ammo and ord as well as sourced from US companies. And complex weapon systems contain foreign-sourced components and/or materials. Unfortunately, arms have some similarities to the global oil market, albeit w/tighter controls. Not air tight though.

That makes sense and is what was missing in the posts. And did include the possibility of having been US ord. UXOs happen more often than most civs realize inc on precision strike munitions. Won't speculate on who has it and if it will be returned.
