I worked for a company that said I couldn’t use the unlimited PTO for maternity leave and tried to limit it to 6 weeks because the CEO’s wife was back at work at her corporate lawyer job after like 2 weeks. They said PTO was only for fun stuff, like the 8 week ski tour one of the engineers went on.

It was on 98th right next to Elmhurst Park. They had the whole block from like B to D taped off for the rest of the day and were detouring a lot of traffic through my neighborhood.

I honestly misread your initial post and thought you were saying there had been no homicides all year. Later I went back and looked at the actual report. Even with yesterday’s tragedy the number for the year is still set to be notably low. This one was also (literally) close to home for me.
