Back in 2018, PM JT wished the MP who floorcrossed well and she was not threatened nor smeared by the party. Fast forward 2025, the Conservative floor crossed got smeared,threatened, and had racist slurs thrown at him by the party, and the right wing media and far right trolls.

Unsurprisingly, on CBCRadio's 'The House', when questioned abt this, Melissa Lantzman insisted that it's not the same thing, then -falsely- added it's wrong bc "That's not the way our gov't works!" The interviewer's immediate response was that our gov't does indeed function exactly in that way.
