I think we need to get past this issue of objectivity and ask instead what is the best translation into German

if I operated as an unlicensed therapist and walked a vulnerable off of a psychic cliff, or if I spread corrosive slander, threats, historical denialism, I would be held much more responsible for that than a person who does the same a million times over and profits from it, pseudo-abstractly

I think the main thing I have to remember is that the vast majority of misunderstandings come from my own careless or wrong speech. No reason to focus on the small fraction which are someone else’s fault. And on the other hand there is no insurance against incompetent or bad faith misconstruals
