Viktor looks at him a long time, the bag he'd filled from the market hanging loosely from one augmented wrist. Then he turns his eyes heavenward and walks over to the store. Jayce celebrates. "Be still," Viktor hisses. "Janna. It's no surprise you were stabbed when you got here. You're insufferable." Jayce dances around twice as hard. By the end of his little routine, he could swear he hears Viktor chuckle.

He was restrained. His whole world had narrowed to the pressure of Jayce's body atop his and the overwhelming taste of cognac on Jayce's lips. Jayce's lips...Gods, Jayce was kissing him. Jayce was taking what he wanted from him. Jayce was...is... Is going to pay for this. Viktor wrapped his fingers into the roots of Jayce's hair and pulled back so hard that Jayce was ripped from his lips. He grunted at the hold that Viktor maintained on him, leaving his neck arched and exposed. "You appear to have forgotten how I operate. My admission of love was not permission to do what you pleased," Viktor said, struggling to control his voice when he was just as breathless as the man on top of him. "'m sorry," Jayce panted. "I've waited so long to hear those words, I lost control of myself." "Good thing one of us knows a thing or two about control." Viktor released Jayce's hair with a slight thrust, pushing him off. "On the floor, on your knees. Now."
