It’s not even a brain fart, it’s an intentional action. Schalk Berger was an amazing rugby player but ultimately his reputation was tarnished by what he did. Etzebeth is one of the true legends of the game, but what he did is unacceptable and he will be remembered as such. Actions have consequences.

Anscombe would have also been a sensible inclusion for experience, even if not starting. If shit really hits the fan then at least you have him to fall back on to give some stability to with the lack of experience.

For me;
In - Llewelyn, Fender, Anscombe

Out - Hathaway, Freddie Thomas, Tomkins

Gatland has shot himself in the foot in my optinion by not including Max Llewelyn and only having one Welsh based second row. Llewlyn with his versatility could have covered centre and wing and only having one second row is restrictive on fallow weeks.

Bevan on the bench, was close between him and Rhodri, as Rhodri would have brought a bit more experience inside Edwards, but Bevan just gives a bit more for me.
Edwards as the only other outside half in the squad.
Murray to cover back three and has been in good form of late.

Tomos starts. B Thomas outside as will be a baptism of fire for young Edwards.
Eddie and Roberts in the centre as we can’t afford to play conservative and out of all the centres in the squad, this is our best attacking and balanced option.
Adam and Liam pick themselves. Rogers deserves the nod.
