A competent opposition party would have their reps flooding the Sunday news circuit right now calling the tariffs “a federal sales tax”

It’s an incredible indictment of their political impotence that in a moment of such powerful emotion, the Democrats continue to respond with this sort of fact-based defensiveness rather than tapping into the anger being expressed by their constituents. They really are uniquely terrible at their jobs
