It IS a nod to the fact that he's a schemer. But it's also multiple nods. Over and over. Multiple very specific nods. So now it's sort of a gun that Chekov forgot.

I'm not saying it has to be in the gameplay! It wouldn't effect the game mechanics at all if there was a scene where, lets say, we had to get past some guards to reach the main map, and we end up slipping some poison to them in the story. No one said he had to dose an entire army 😅

I do think a lot of the interest in poisons ties back to the assassination attempts on his life tho, so now I'm back on the "Claude should be microdosing his deer with poisons in secret to build up their immunity" train

Claude is really built up to be a schemer who works with poisons and we really don't see it enough in the game! But that probably has a lot to do with how VW isn't as Claude centric as it should have been imo

Claude is really built up to be a schemer who works with poisons and we really don't see it enough in the game! But that probably has a lot to do with how VW isn't as Claude centric as it should have been imo

one of his lost items is poison, so I would have loved to see like, if a character was rude to him in one month, the next month they'd comment about their malady or smt like that. Or maybe microdosing the deer in secret to build up their immunity to poisons 🤔
