If you're taking recommendations, I'd suggest The Grizzlies and Champions (2023).

I like mayonnaise. But people who don't like it aren't wrong. They just don't like it.

If a machine could reproduce everything that made the relationship special, then the relationship would not have been special.

Absolutely. "Oh, I know a trans woman who would thrash me at sports." Cool story, bro. Guess what? There are countless cis women athletes who would also take you apart on the field.

Describing romantic relationships between men and women as "mating opportunities" is very normal, yes indeed.

Rich people buying preferential treatment does not mean there is a global issue with over-diagnosis and unnecessary accommodations. That is a completely separate issue - and not at all how the initial story was framed.

I have four children who've been involved in education for the last 25 years. Getting a diagnosis and proper supports and accommodations is incredibly challenging. No one is handing them out on request.

I agree with everyone calling out the use of that particular slur.

But too many of them are repeating it when they do so. I wish they wouldn't. If someone used the n-word, no decent person would repeat it, even in quotes, even to criticize its use.

The same should apply to the r-word.

So, brine that turkey.

Or deep fry it.

Or buy seven Costco roasters.

Or make ham sandwiches.

Or Doordash some Chinese food.

As long as you are lucky enough to do it with family, or friends, or both, it'll be awesome.

Then a couple of friends dropped by, unexpectedly, with containers of leftovers from their Christmas dinner.

It was amazing. In that moment we needed friends and we needed a meal that felt like Christmas, and we got it. Even if some of it was cold stuffing in a styrofoam box.

One of the best holiday dinners I've had was one Christmas when, for reasons, everything went to crap. We pulled together a decent morning for the kids but didn't have the time, energy, or heart to put into making dinner.

I'm usually a full-on holiday meal guy. I have the spreadsheet. I have a three-day gravy making process. I spend hours in the kitchen, waving a knife at anyone who offers to 'help'.

But that's because I like doing it, and I'm fortunate enough to have the time and the resources.

I think 99% of the time it's just louder. People are used to conversing in public and (usually) know how to keep their voices down.
