It must be terrible. Will you be able to access any help when the time comes? You've got your health to think of too.

We never put ours up until December, usually near the start now for our grandkids. But I get why some do it earlier. If it makes someone happy to put it up in October than its all good. There's so much misery in the world I wouldn't criticise anyone for wanting a bit of festive joy in their home.
