Thanks! Always happy for new ideas to widen my repertoire of somewhat easy to cook dishes.

If you have the time and means, go for it :) Kneading dough is oddly soothing.

That reminds me our stock is getting quite low so I’ll have to fire up the oven soon…

Somewhat related question for a future discussion: Should games be a part of formal schooling/curriculum?

Really enjoyed the show and will listen to future episodes for sure. The discussion around the difficulty of getting people get into games outside their comfort zone/preferences hit rather hard as a (teacher) educator: How do you get people to learn things they don’t see relevant/beneficial?

For starters the base is unfinished and black lacks depth. Very nice gaming piece though.

One could also think rock’n roll did not start since it is just one branch in the diversification of jazz. Pinning down the starting point any genre or medium is not exact science either. I would much rather see the popularity/cultural centrality of a genre being more important than the origin.

Second heavy metal, especially the extreme styles like death and black metal. While many miniature wargames peaked in the 90’s, the groundwork was laid during the previous decade.

While there are aptitudes /natural abilities that make it easier to progress in different domains, in the long passion and perseverance is always needed for talent to emerge. What is taken as natural gift is often just not knowing how much someone has been developing their skills beforehand.
