Oh fuck yea, massive improvements! May have oversprayed the threaded part a bit, it squeaks loud and high pichedly but lessens over use. Will use the old one to practice more spraying.

After some contradictory googleing advice I managed to get THE LOOK!
IPA, dry (99%, so fast), water, dry (slow AF), cure, wet sanding with IPA up to 2000 grit then some rustoleum high gloss spray.
Now this is the kinda product transparency my 90’s butt can get behind

Fired off another lid after installing a heater, still getting a hole but it’s smaller than last time. Also still pretty difficult to remove from the build plate. So far I lowered it from 25 seconds for first layer exposure to 22 and at least it’s not leaving chunks on the plate.

Missed some scans, I did copy the file so I can go back and 100% if I feel like.
Ending was kind of a let down, there are probably better endings for speed running I’m guessing.

Finally beat prime 4!
Gotta say, like everything but the control beam. The one thing that’s like “ok, this is an unnatural gimmick. End of the game this is still dumb and as intuitive as balls”

Printer did good but I need to learn some things. Resin is difficult.
1. Air bubbles, let it sit after pouring
2. Too stuck to build plate, reduce exposure time probably.
3. Random ass dirt. I have no clue where it came from.
4. Bit of cloudyness. Maybe wash before attempting removal from plate?

Oh my god the ice wolf fight in Metroid prime 4 beyond is BEYOND BORING. It went on forever, I died, then I tried again but my health went red instead of being 2shotted past that to dead. It’s like the Ridley fight from super, there is no winning just a specific condition.

Great, the SLA printer I got 2nd hand came with the WRONG PSU. The mars 3 should have a 24v3a and this has a 12v3a.
The kicker is EVERYTHING STILL WORKS BUT THE UV LAMP! Cocktease.
Also still no Metroid.
And master is still away.
Things are amazing 🙃

God fucking damn deep cleaning is hard. The deeper you look the more dirt there is. The whole 2nd half of my day was just the bathroom and it still needs a couple more hours of work.

Got our broken TV replaced and had the new one mounted. So nice being able to tilt and have it up and out of the way.
Still cleaning the room, so much dust and trash in nooks and crannies. I started yesterday in case the installers came by early (I was the first stop), hardly done, I’m going deep
