Sometimes life just pushes things in front of you. You just have to look.

If you listen closely, you'll hear the instrumental version of EPCOT's "Tomorrow's Child" used as you learn Shoplifter's Objective and what the Disney Store Cast Members' daily responsibilities are.

Still one of the most awkward and slightly cringy "official" Disney usage of the Fantasmic score. But I LOVE IT! 🤩
(I've probably shared this before and will probably share it again.) #DisneyStore

I guess my definition of "contemporary" would be artwork that wasn’t used as Park concept art or for the Disney animated films but “new” artwork. I would count the Hench Mickey Portraits and these 1980s works by Boyer that were sold.

I remember The Art of Disneyland, but wasn't it mostly LE reprints of original concept art? Then thought of The Art of Mickey Mouse by Theibaud and 100 Mickeys artworks by Robison that truly accelerated things? But then thought, "No, I think Charles Boyer & Hench were probably their predecessors."

Maybe one of the Disneyland historians on bsky.app would know — but when did we start selling contemporary Disney artwork at Disneyland - Assuming it was first at the Disneyana Shop on Main Street. And, was Charles Boyer the first Disney artist work to be sold?
