It’s the CYA semantic equivalent of “allegedly”.

He doesn’t care. His actions may cause a majority loss in the midterms. That’s congress’s problem. If they lose, they are simply losers and he isn’t.

I could go on. However, it’s Sunday morning and I’m already pissed off after seeing the news so I’ll stop here.

Everything is transactional with him. He won his second term so he no longer needs voters. I’ll leave the “you’ll never need to vote again” comment out of this for now.

Asserting what one thinks is the truth without knowledge is, at best, unfounded opinion.

We, the people, are collectively failing to exercise free speech.

Speech is not the goal. It is a means to an end. It’s part of our freedom to find and share the truth. For speech to be “free”, we must avoid prejudice, or hatred, or the pursuit of profit, or the manipulation of others. Speech subjugated to “ulterior ends” is not free.

And in the future it can be restored along with the rose garden. It won’t be the same of course.
