Very little partisan differentiation. For instance 6% of CPC partisans visited Fox over 4 weeks, compared to 4% of Liberal and NDP partisans. Partisan media exposure is more strongly linked to measures of political interest and sophistication than attitudinal strength 7/

Domestic partisan news exposure is trivial. Of the tracked outlets, only Rebel News and National Observer got any traction - 2% viewership over 4 weeks. US partisan news use a little higher. Fox at 4%, but 10 of 28 covered outlets got no viewership over 4 weeks 5/

Affective polarization is rising in Canada. Why? A lot of people point the finger at a changing media ecosystem where alternative news is thriving, allowing partisans to cocoon themselves in echo chambers that reinforce and inflame their political attitudes 2/
