Nothing wrong with celebrating Caturday.

It’s always in fashion.

I lived in Northampton MA, and we always got a laugh at “White Christmas” when Danny Kaye and Bing Crosby unsuccessfully audition two dumb blondes for their act, and Danny protests, “Okay…So they DIDN’t go to Smith!”

And Anne of Green Gables, of course, is famous for the longest opening sentence in classic children’s literature:

I’m sorry, that was “Grate Expectations”, the survey of Amsterdam’s sewer system by Charles Dikkens, the well-known Dutch author.

I hate being able to recognize Odo from Deep Space Nine as Charles Grodin’s laid-back geologist from the 1976 King Kong.

And then Christmas season comes along…

(And yes, Ghost Story, creepiest snow in film ever. 😱❄️❄️)

Ohh, THAT’S why we got the Macy’s parade float!

Okay, that bit of nightmare fuel (no, I was referring to Foreigner singing on the float) makes sense in context now…

It was years before my later film-geek self realized that “If it’s rabbit Baby wants, it’s rabbit Baby gets! 😏” was referring to SPECIFIC stars that might be having dinner with Bogie…

Just imagine the big glam-rave party at the Von Trapp mansion, when the children entertain the guests by twerking to Lady Gaga! 😎

Bridge of Spies was written by the Coens and directed by Spielberg.
See if you can tell which half is which. 🤦‍♂️

(That’s like a Fellini script directed by John Ford…)

Maybe I subconsciously knew the Domed City was filmed at a shopping mall, but I always grew up with the daydream of having an apartment in one. 😁
Like Dawn of the Dead, without the zombies.

It’s a rerun, so they could take the evening off, but any excuse to see “Little Miss Showbiz” again.

For years, I told my mom it was impossible to make soup out of COOKED turkey on Friday morning.
It was an entire childhood before anyone listened.

Now I roast a small white-breast in a crockpot for one, save all drippings, chill overnight, and mix with equal water for REAL soup. ✊😠

I’m already trying to explain the poster. 🤔
Deliberate 70’s Disney homage?

(As opposed to the tradition of Every 80’s John Hughes Comedy Poster:)

I was watching a disk last night, hit “Permanent Pause” on my remote while I went to the bathroom, and now I can’t get my movie started again. 🤔

Remember when Coke found out that some stars contain ethyl formate, which would “make them taste like raspberries”, and put out a raspberry Coke that “tastes like stars ✨ “?

Apparently it goes well with asteroids that taste like chicken.
