So in 26 years, can we finally address this? According to the first season of the anime, it’s RAT-A-TA. This has caused dozens of YouTubers to say it RA-TAT-TA and it causes my ears to bleed each time I hear them say it wrong.

It's not a dongle at all. Look at these two images, both are "Fire" streaming devices, but the one on the left is a dongle, the one on the right isn't. The Apple TV is like the one on the right.
