LESSONS FROM A SNOW DAY: As a neighbor passed me on the sidewalk, bundled up enough that I didn't immediately recognize her, she said, "Hi, Erich! It's Sarah!" It reminded me how helpful it can be to reiterate your name when seeing people after some time, even if you feel that they should know you.

LESSONS FROM A SNOW DAY: When I encouraged our 3.5yo to sled down a steeper part of the hill, she responded, "You go first. That way, I will learn what to do." First of all, proud dad moment. Second, it underscored the power we *all* have to inspire confidence in others through our actions!
