Dad. Husband. Brother. Son. Bike guy. Taxed, but not represented.
Seems like a Senator could easily goad RFK Jr into a “Damn right I ordered the code red” moment.

If the choice is between busting a dude for stealing bike seats at Union Station, and having the armed National Guard in mine-resistant vehicles outside welcoming people to the seat of our democracy, l take the bike seat guy 9 times out of 10. And I say this as a bike person.

While we are all talking about crime in DC let’s not forget Donald Trump instigated the violence on J6 in an attempt to overturn the results of an election. Over 1200 of his violent supporters were convicted of crimes related to that day and all but 14 were then pardoned by Trump.

@bikeshare.bsky.social Found W01380, which could be a bike from the second wave of new CaBis back in 2011-ish. It was laying abandoned in the middle of the Aldi parking lot off Queens Chapel all busted. Still managed to get me home. The B-17s of bikes they are. Now locked at 18th and Monroe NE.

First, the very basic fact that many miss: While D.C. isn't a state and is beholden to Congress in many ways, it is *not funded* by Congress or federal taxpayers. It's budget is funded by locally raised revenue, i.e. taxes and residents and businesses pay.

@repshontelbrown.bsky.social Ma’am the company I work for won a USDOE grant that would help low income residents in Cleveland access affordable e-bikes and scooters. The grant remains “paused”. Is there anyone in your office I can talk to about it? Thanks.

@elienyc.bsky.social should be on #CSPAN every day. Too often callers to CSPAN, from both sides of the spectrum, have their views unchallenged.

I think there should be a law that if your child’s school is closed for weather you should get a day off even if you work from home.

I see some suggestions, in the reporting regarding the OMB impoundment order, that a mere delay in spending appropriated funds is legal. But that's not really true. The delay OMB has ordered specifically contradicts the Impoundment Control Act. A thread.
