This is the chart for those contracts. Each candle is 10 minutes. You can see the cons went from .05 to 36.50 in almost 30 minutes. Times
Those
By 100 because you’re buying 100 share contract. That’s $5 to $3650 in a half hour. Imagine the folks who simply invested $100. They made $70k+

You’re welcome! Feel free to ask any questions you might have about the market. Was kind of a crappy explanation but without going in to details it’s basically the gist. And I saw A LOT of call volume come in before that move happened. People knew Trump was going to Taco Bell

I can talk for days and days about the market dude. Feel free to ask anything you’d like. I love trading stocks and it consumes me now outside of my main job. I’m even trying to become certified to trade for other people.

From 6875. Because you were so far away those contracts were basically worthless. They were $5 per contract because nobody wants them. Within minutes the S&P went well over the 6875. So any value over 6875 price you basically get 100x that amount of money. I can go in to MUCH more about it but gist…
January 21, 2026 at 10:19 PM
Let’s say I bought one of those contracts when the S&P was at 6870. My contracts are “out of the money.” I’m 5 points away from my strike price. You can buy options that are “in the money” also. But thats more detailed.

So what happened today is the S&P was around 6830. So you were SO FAR away
January 21, 2026 at 10:19 PM
When buying call options you are expecting the price to rise. When buying puts you’re expecting the price to lower. The 6875 is the strike price. If I buy that contract that means I’m expecting a move to that price or higher. Options contracts are cheaper than the shares also.

You bet dude! So, calls and puts are a form of trading stocks. They’re called options. If I were to buy the 6875 calls like I mentioned above I’ve purchased a contract for 100 shares of whatever ticker you purchase the option on. In this case it was SPX. Trading the S&P.

🤣🤣

I watched 6875 calls go from .05 to 19.30 in less than 12 minutes, Helene. Absolutely insane.
January 21, 2026 at 7:44 PM
I saw some big SPX call volume hitting the tape before it happened too.
January 21, 2026 at 7:42 PM
Saw some big call volume come in on SPX right before it happened too. 🤔🤔

6875 calls my bad. They’re currently worth $2000 per contract. $5 to $2000 in 10 minutes. 🤣🤣🤣

I stepped down as God today. I never had the role also but just wanted to confirm I have stepped down.

Oh right on. We are all dirty.

He’s kind of a defensive liability. However, I agree with you.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
January 21, 2026 at 12:13 AM
Sorry. I meant leaving permanently. I have a feeling that might not be a possibility some day.
January 21, 2026 at 12:10 AM
Or making it more affordable for fans. I’ve taken my two sons to 13 different MLB parks so far and every game is ridiculously priced for everything. I’m still going but eventually it would be nice to see a kickback to consumers.
January 21, 2026 at 12:05 AM
That’ll play!
January 20, 2026 at 11:58 PM
I honestly have wondered about this bud. What happens if you and I want to leave? Will we be able to?
